Oceanair 10 Years of Service - Prize Draw Winner


In May 2009 Oceanair Distribution Ltd celebrated 10 years of service to the air conditioning industry; May 1999 saw the birth of Oceanair as a distributor of Fujitsu air conditioning equipment with a remit to improve the services to the industry by offering technical assistance of the highest calibre. It is from this philosophy that Oceanair has grown; always considering the customer’s standards of service. To celebrate these 10 years Oceanair ran a prize draw over the summer months of 2009 for our loyal customers as a ‘Thank you.

Our lucky winner chose the 10 year old malt whiskey! Gino Fantoni from ‘tag 2 ltd’. Tag 2 Ltd provides clients with a wide range of fully co-ordinated mechanical and electrical building services design and project management services to meet the growing demands of modern buildings and the ever changing environment. In addition, tag2 offers BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes Assessments. BREEAM is the primary method that allows a wide range of environmental issues to be covered in one assessment, and allows the building to be benchmarked on a like-for-like basis. Background to Oceanair

1999 Stephen Shoubridge creates Oceanair Distribution ltd as a distributor of Fujitsu air conditioning equipment.

2001 Oceanair distributes Sanyo equipment alongside Fujitsu.

2006 Oceanair becomes a multi-brand distributor incorporating LG alongside Sanyo and Fujitsu equipment.

December 2006 Bob Cowlard, having left the position of Vice President at Sanyo Airconditioners Europe, undertook a management buy in and took over the ownership of Oceanair Distribution Ltd.

December 2007 the state of the art training centre was opened in Bristol.

May 2008 saw the signing of an exclusive LPG deal between Calor Gas, Sanyo Airconditioners and Oceanair Distribution.

September 2008 saw Bob Cowlard return to Sanyo Airconditioners and Oceanair was sold to Cripps Harries Trust raising the three senior management personnel to the Board of Directors.

February 2009 Sanyo announced Bristol as one of its three ‘Approved Training Sites’ of the CO2 ECO Air to Water systems in the UK and Bristol became the first installation of the system in the UK.

May 2009 Oceanair celebrated ’10 Years of Service’ and are still going strong!
