Oceanair Distribution rolls out carbon dioxide technology training at Bristol centre
Thirty delegates packed into Oceanair Distribution’s Bristol training centre last month for a detailed technical briefing on Sanyo’s latest roll-outs, including a ground-breaking new carbon dioxide-based air-to-water heat pump system.
The system, launched this autumn, opens the way for high efficiency carbon dioxide refrigerant-based heating for the residential and small commercial market.
Delegates represented a swathe of leading air conditioning installation companies from across the South of England and Wales, including Mitie Energy, TBS Mechanical, Aircon Services, Ambient Air and Temperature Control.
Lead trainer for the two one-day sessions was Mark Gillingham of Sanyo, supported by Oceanair’s Richard Tyson, managing director, and Giles Pratt, sales director.
The programme included in-depth appreciations of Sanyo’s M Series GHP and Elite Paci technology, and gave delegates an opportunity to see first hand Oceanair’s own Sanyo natural gas-powered heat pump technology used to heat and cool the Bristol site.
It also provided an opportunity for an update on Oceanair’s unique range of services and products, which include the latest technology from Fujitsu and LG.
Richard Tyson said: “It was a valuable and highly stimulating two days. People were particularly interested in the new carbon dioxide heat pump systems, which offer a significant opportunity for the trade.
“With it’s outstanding energy performance and low running costs, it is expected to challenge the supremacy of the traditional gas-fired boiler. It opens up a potentially massive new market for our customers, and we will be supporting them every step of the way.”
Future courses planned by Oceanair for Bristol include a legislation and product awareness day aimed at consultants, to include CPD accreditation. The new series will start in November.
